Indian Creek and Skiing the La Sals, April 1-2

A few pics from a weekend trip to the Moab area for some cragging at Indian Creek and skiing in the La Sal mountains.

Allison belaying Jason on "Fingers in a Light Socket." I didn't take too many pics at the crag this day because I was busy belaying Aaron on his 'I only have one day to climb' sending spree at the Supercrack buttress.

North Six Shooter looks impossibly skinny from this vantage point.

North Six Shooter again.

The next day, we sampled the spring corn in the lovely La Sals.

Aaron checking out Mt. Peale (L) and Mt. Tukuhnikivatz (R). After our first run we skied over to Tukuhnikivatz.

Way-zoomed in view of Castleton and the Rectory.

Peale and Tukuhnikivatz. We later hiked up the ridge of the right hand skyline of Tukuhnikivatz; Aaron skied the middle gully off the top and I came in about 400' lower.

Our first run. Since you can't see our tracks in the corn I took the liberty of drawing them in.

Aaron above his line off of Tukuhnikivatz.

A view across the way, including the open slopes we'd skied for the first run.

Aaron psyched to finish the fun descent of Tukuhnikivatz.
