Lover's Leap, November 3-4, 2001

I had a great time at Lover's Leap this weekend. I went with Marko, Pete, Erin, Dave, and Kim; I climbed with Pete. I have a new favorite climb: Traveler's Buttress. There's a spot where you come around an exposed arete and the world just drops away from beneath you! It took my breath away. Pete led two pitches and I led the last, easy one. We did another great climb that day too called Hospital Corner. On Sunday we climbed Surrealist Pillar, playing around on several variations of the start.

The pictures on this page in larger sizes are Pete's and Erin's.

Pete about to turn the arete. This was (for me) the most beautiful part of the climb, when you step around the edge and there's a lot of air beneath you.
