Lake Fork Peak, March 26, 2011
Usually, an April or May tour of Lake Fork Peak is the tradition, but this has been such a bad snow year. Snowpack at Taos is about 30% of normal and the days are warm and sunny, so Jason, Mark, Sarah, Andy, Aaron, and I headed out there in March. The conditions varied from pretty good to a bit challenging depending on the aspect, but coverage was fine and we had a very nice day.

I was feeling weak from the altitude and sat out a run. The other five booted back up.

Another party of two shared the bowl with us that day. Here's one of them heading up on his own.

The descent out of Lake Fork was pretty fun, with just enough coverage to find a good passage.
