Climbing, Spring 2009
A few miscellaneous pictures from a spring without much climbing; these are shots from Cochise, Diablo, and Last Chance Canyon. I've also been in between cameras for a while, shopping around, testing out crappy ones (why do they often break after the first time out in a dusty environment?).

Aaron on a new route called "Hominid" at Diablo.

Aaron wearing his "Vest of Power" and paisley shirt of...well, something, at Cochise.

Aaron on the first pitch of "The Climb too Tough to Die For." We did this on Saturday and "Warpaint" - a really, really fun and excellent route - on Sunday.

Amy on a steep juggy climb at Last Chance Canyon.

Aaron on the same.

James on a different steep, slightly less juggy route.

Testing a new camera with a long-arm shot.

There was an art installation in Diablo Canyon this weekend in May; it was a solar-powered freezer with ice cream and popsicles inside. The artist was camping out with the project and handing out the free ice cream (yay!).

Cloud and Aaron getting ready.

Aaron stepping up to "Mastadont," with Cloud belaying and Sterling and Nick watching.

The peanut gallery.

Aaron on the steep, nearly horizontal roof of "Mastadont."

Aaron's feet cutting loose.

Sterling and Cloud.

Testing a panorama.

Sterling's dog, Zion.

Washed-out panorama of Cloud on "Mastadont" and Sterling on the 13a.
