Diablo Canyon, October 13, 2006

Josh, visiting from Moab, spotted a sweet line in Diablo Canyon and nabbed a first ascent of it---a thin, spicy, facey crack climb on small gear. Aaron and I went out to help him equip the route with chain anchors and clean the first pitch up a bit. Here we are on the canyon rim, from where we'll rap into the route.

Aaron rapping down as Josh gets ready.

I hung out on top and took pictures for a while.

Aaron through the tree I'd been photographing.

Josh heads off on the lead, with a shiny new anchor in the foreground..

Aaron on the second ascent.

The route weaves around, but really, it's fantastic, with a thin thin crack and face moves.
