Black Canyon and Durango Hat, September 2-5, 2010

Aaron and I headed to Colorado for Labor Day weekend; we first climbed for a day in the Black Canyon ("Comic Relief") and then headed to Durango for the super fun Durango Hat Ultimate Frisbee tournament.

Hiking down the SOB gully early in the morning. We'd gotten an early start because I'd forgotten a helmet (bad, bad me) and so I didn't want the chance of there being a party above us. We hiked down the SOB gully.....past the climb.....and down to the river. It's not THAT hard to find your way around the Black, but we have a real knack for missing the correct buttress: it's the second time we've hiked way, way farther down the SOB gully than we should have.

Finally, Aaron starting up "Comic Relief."

Not a particularly good pic but I like the position of the guy on the right.
